python-gi-cairo software package provides Python Cairo bindings for the GObject library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-gi-cairo
python-gi-cairo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-gi-cairo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-gi-cairo *
You will get with python-gi-cairo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
